Chief Venatus Chijioke Oyiogu took over the mantle of leadership of the vibrant Umuigbo Unity Forum Lagos State Chapter, an Igbo socio-political group from Chief C. F.C Obih, the pioneer Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter. 

The new chairman of Umu-Igbo Unity Forum Lagos State Chapter Chief Chijioke Venatus Oyiogu says that Chief CFC Obih voluntarilly resigned his chairmanship position to enable him contest for the position of the President of Ohanaeze ndi Igbo Lagos chapter and not because of any issues at all. 

Chief Chijioke Venatus Oyiogu is a renowned technocrat, entrepreneur and very patriotic son of Igbo nation. 

He Presided over his maiden exco meeting which held on Sunday, 21st March 2021 at the prestigious MAC Centre in Surulere, Lagos. 

He made it clear at the first UUF Exco meeting held under his auspices that Umuigbo Lagos chapter is more formidable than ever and that the Lagos chapter is geared to bring all sons and daughters of Igboland together as well as protect the interest of Ndi Igbo in Lagos state.  Chief Oyiogu unveiled programmes for the group which primarily revolve round the core objectives of the group, which is to engender unity among Ndigbo living in Lagos and also work to further promote their social and economic well-being. 

The new Chairman also promised to work assiduously to not only consolidate on the achievements of the past administration but importantly, to take the Lagos State Chapter of the group to a new height of relevance and effectively position it as a credible platform which Ndigbo in Lagos State can identify and relate with. 

Umu-Igbo Unity Forum Worldwide, is a non governmental organization that is duly registered in Nigeria by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). Branches of the group could be found in all the states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the world over.  Aside being a veritable platform to forge unity and progress among Ndigbo, the group is also one of the major proponents of the ‘AKU RUE ULO’ philosophy among people of Igbo Nation. 

The President General of Umu-Igbo Unity Forum Worldwide  Chief Dr. Godwin Chinedu Duru (Ezeudo II), a seasoned administrator, astute politician, consummate leader and an avid advocate for comprehensive development and progress in Igbo Nation and improved welfare of her citizens is absolutely devoted to this course.

Orzobeat Media rolls out plans for King and Queen of the House Reality TV Show


An international entertainment and event management outfit Orzobeat Media has rolled out plans for King and Queen of the House Reality TV Show (KQ HOUSE SHOW), which is expected to change the face of reality TV in Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

The show is expected to produce ambassadors of positive virtues in Nigeria and Africa as whole, according to the project director Mr. Lambart Nnorom Jr.

Mr. Nnorom who was speaking for Orzobeat Media, said beauty pageants and reality TV have been taken over by mediocre; people who cash out on the increasing immorality in the society, adding that things are about to change.

“The notion behind beauty pageantry has almost gone moribund and totally defeated. Boys and Girls have taken it as one of the cheapest ways to run for their immorality cum pimping businesses.  

“We no longer have beauty Queens with brain and the desired aim for its promotion, which is to work on a Pet Project and standing tall as Models against ill societal influences. Mediocre and Girls of easy virtue are the ones wearing the crown for various Beauty Pageant Organizations”

He stated that nothing will be left in the hands of destroyers, adding that King and Queen of the House Reality TV Show has come to the rescue.

Explaining the concept of King and Queen of the House Reality TV Show, Mr. Nnorom said, it is a pageant for 30 contestants vying for two crowns for the King and Queen.

“It is a pageant cum reality TV show, where viewers will enjoy every single thing till the winners emerge”, he said.
He further stated that they will be taking strict measures to ensures the best of beauty and brain are admitted to the house.“Panel of Judges shall interview entrants on areas of Job creation, anti-corruption strategies and sociopolitical progress of the society. It is expected that the good – looking intelligentsia will finally  emerge, who shall become ambassadors of societal values in order to curb youthful unrest, community clashes, Child trafficking, cultism, Drug abuse etc” Mr. Lambert Nnorom Jr. said.

On how prepared Orzobeat Media is to carry out the task of organizing a reality TV show as KQ HOUSE SHOW that will be resounding beyond Nigeria, Mr. Nnorom said that everything has been put down as they are supposed to be, adding that there has been some structural implementations, strategic partnerships and other things needed are being sorted out ahead of 2021 when the event is expected to come alive.

“We understand every strength and weakness that is on ground at the moment, and with our strategy being to make things better while promoting African culture and values, we’re working towards being stronger than the strongest and not being as weak as their weakness”

The stage is set for the 2nd edition of Face of Africa  Beauty Pageant scheduled to holds July 2018 at Rockview Hotel Owerri ,Imo state.

The organizer of the program,Mr Ik Anyanwu, Ceo Face of Arise Africa  made this disclosure while fielding question from newsmen in Owerri recently.


He explained  that  the entertainment industry is set to witness a re-branding with the 2nd edition of “Face of Arise  Beauty Pageant, he noted that the show  is  the biggest scholarship pageant competition in Nigeria. Last year we had over 30 contestants who were equipped with various skills.

The organizer  pointed out that the  Beauty Pageant ,themed : Creativity & Style is designed for every young person between the ages of 18 -28 years old,even as he noted that application forms  are now on sale till May   20th. While the Audition comes up June  2018.

He maintained that the Face of Arise Africa Beauty Pageant is a program aimed at organizing  young ladies and men towards a new order of projecting Nigeria Image and creating a platform for general entertainment

According to the young and vibrant Arise Africa Boss "this is not just another beauty pageant, but a show  tailored towards inspiring and nurturing young, talented models as we seek to raise the beautiful continent of Africa. It is also another season to celebrate people, places and values during this season as special recognition will be given to distinguished personalities during the show .

Face of Arise Africa Beauty Pageant will also afford the organizers opportunity to choose a brand Ambassador who will run charitable projects within and outside Nigeria and also represent Nigeria in International competitions."

Anyanwu further explained that the Face of Arise Afrika is an answer to the quest among most youths to explore their talents and be identified as celebrities but due to the non availability of adequate platforms in Africa for self discovery, most youths never get to fulfill this dream" he opined.

Anyanwu  avarred that the winner of the pageant shall embark on charitable works, awareness campaign in a show of appreciation and give back to the community ,stressing that  just 5,000 form one can achieve his  dream,as we are poised to "REDEFINING AFRICA TO THE WORLD."he said.

Pete Edochie, Nkem Owoh, Chiwetalu Agu, Genevieve Nnaji, Patience Ozokwu, Others Storm Owerri As Vitalis Ndubuisi marks 60th birthday, 26 years in Nollywood
Nollywood veteran Chief Vitalis Ndubuisi will on Saturday, April 1, 2017 celebrate a milestone of 60th birthday and 26 years in the movie industry.

The event which will be taking place at the famous Bongo Center Owerri, Imo State will be a convergence of Nollywood legends like Pete Edochie, Nkem Owoh, Chiwetalu Agu, Genevieve Nnaji, Kenneth Okonkwo, Patience Ozokwu amongst others.

Speaking at Bongo Center Owerri after a function on March 30, 2017, the actor who is dubbed as Igwe 1 of Nollywood, said he feels great to be marking the milestone and will prefer to be celebrated while alive than dead.

“People are usually celebrated when they die, I don’t want to wait till I die before I will be celebrated, I want to do it while I am alive”, the actor whose simple way of life has earned him the title of Mr. Humility and Simplicity among friends and colleagues in the industry said.

Speaking further, he said that the only place he retired from was the civil service as a broadcaster and there will be nothing like retirement in the movie industry for him.

“One thing with getting old is that every face you see looks like one you already know. When you’re getting old, you begin to see things from a different dimension; you’ll have to compare what is now and what was then. Nollywood has changed over the years in terms of quantity and quality; and a lot of new blood are into it which is very good. The advancement in technology is also affecting the industry” he said.

Revered for his grey hair in the industry, the multiple award winning actor also admitted that the stories in the movie industry has changed adding that it is just like the music industry where well composed songs don’t sell. Although he refused to call them ‘nonsense’, he said that the use of technology and well trained young hands have made great impact in the industry and also play a huge role in what gets out to the public at the end of the day.

Alongside appearances by Nollywood stars and other celebrities, there will also be performances by artistes, dancers and comedians to spice up the event which will be kicking off by 6:00PM at Bongo Center Owerri, Imo State.

  It was a moment of celebration, and more, a double one for sensational music act, Kelly Hansome and fast-rising media practitioner cum media director of Pot of Africa, Eze Chijioke when the duo marked their birthdays with the launching of an EP titled ‘4Play’ at Industry Nite. 
The event was held at the usual spot, Spice Route in Victoria Island, where guests were welcomed to the black carpet by members of the media and a cocktail bar which served just the right mix to set you in the mood for 4Play.

Celebrity guests in attendance were 2Face Idibia, Marvelous Benji, AngryOwerriMan, Now Muzik CEO, Efe Omoregbe, H’Code and fast rising singers, Ckay of Chocolate City, and Acetune.

Kelly Hansome thrilled fans to a scintillating medley of songs off his newly released EP, such as Money Palava, featuring Oritse Femi, Investment, Ichezu and others. He later took his fans on a nostalgic ride of his classics like Like Play, Like Play, Maga Don Pay and more. Just when fans thought they had seen it all, they got a surprise performance from music legend, 2Face, who joined Kelly Hansome on stage with veteran singer Morachi.

For the young talented media practitioner, Favour Ibex is a name that sends a jingle to most individuals and corporate bodies in Nigeria and West Africa at large. The River state born entrepreneur is the first in a family of eight, preceding 2 girls and 5 boys.

His primary education took him to Central School, Igwuruta in Ikwere Local Government area of Rivers State, before cross carpeting to Central School Inyishi, in Ikeduru Local Government Area, Imo State, where he obtained his first school leaving certificate.

He further enrolled into Premier Secondary school, Owerri, Imo State, as a boarding student, consequently coinciding with his parents relocating to Denmark.

In 2007, he attained his WASSCE, instigating his admission into Kwame Nkuruma University of Science and Technology, Kumasi Ghana, where he obtained a Bsc in Computer Science.

Upon his graduation in 2012, he reversed to Nigeria in an attempt to properly enforce a media and publicity company, which was formally established in 2005, during his days in Secondary School. Growing up, he has always had interest in computers and electronics, contributing to his vast knowledge in graphic designs and camera handling.

His quest for more knowledge in information technology paraded him at T-technologies Nigeria Limited, where he studied computer networking and programming in various machine languages including, Java, Oracle and many others.
However, in 2005, he partnered with his friend and colleague, Kingsley Orji to conceive and establish a blogging site, with the name POT OF AFRICA. Meanwhile, during his study days in Ghana, he made several tours to various West African Countries making series of rugged researches on the uses of POT in various ethnic African communities.
Favour Ibex is idealistic and believes in innovative techniques for the achievement of his objectives, which state his vision of educating and entertaining through news, event-broadcast, documentaries, movies etc, while also advertising goods and services to the world with the objective of promoting companies, businesses, skilled and talented individuals, thus bringing them to limelight. This invariably makes his clients to believe in their worth.

In addition, today, he is a professional web and graphic designer, video and audio editor, director of photography, media consultant and publicist, currently working as a media director in POT OF AFRICA MEDIA AND PUBLICITY COMPANY.

The talent hunt and promotion project by Pot of Africa TV, ‘Adding Value’ has commence with an epic photo shoot which was well attended. The shoot which took place on Monday, September 5, 2016 had talented young people dressed in epic attires for the project.

Speaking at the programme, the Project Director, an accomplished NollyWood Movie Director, Mr. Lambert Nnorom Jr. described the event as a wonderful initiative that will transform the lives of the participants. He revealed that the participants are on their way to starring in two epic cinema blockbusters that will soon be shot and he is gently monitoring them to know who has the right character and talent for the movie projects.

Mr. Nnorom revealed that it took good human management to put the participants at ease and make them forget it is a competition, which is why most of them are calm and excited at the shooting location.

Some of the participants who spoke said that there is nothing like competition atmosphere in the shooting location and everyone is working together to make the day a fun filled one. They revealed that what is mostly important for them was to make the best of every moment when they come and not focus on those that are yet to come.

The photo soot will be preceded by other auditions where the participants will be subjected to a test based on the talents they applied for, as well as an online contest that will have fans, friends and family of the participants voting to shoot them to getting top roles at the upcoming movies.

Africa's finest film makers, major industry stakeholders, and lovers of the entertainment circle assembled in the city of Port hacourt last Saturday to grace the annual award event, "AFRICAN MOVIE ACADEMY AWARD". It was a night of glamour and celebrity showcase, as special awards and recognition were directed to various legends and stars in Nollywood.

Meanwhile, it was a glorious moment for the incubators of the movie O-TOWN, as the movie bagged the award for ACHIEVEMENT IN SOUNDTRACK. The movie, which stared the likes of Kalu Ikeagwu, Ifu Ennada, Lucy Ameh, Paul Utomi and a host of other talents, arrived the event boasting three category nominations. Being their virgin recognition from AMAA, the entire cast and crew present at the event celebrated as team, leaving the Director C.J FIERY OBASI, and the Producer OGE OBASI an almost fulfilled couple.

The glory days started in 2015, when their Zombie movie "OJUJU" swept numerous awards, from both national and international awards and film festivals. In anticipation, the company fiery films is working on new project titled "OTOKOTO"

Its true when we say we grow to get better, because most times, its always a personal romance when we look back to our past to discover that we have relentlessly succeeded in laying a solid foundation for a very sustainable and promising career. It gets even more interesting to know that age is still friendly enough to inspire us to even greater heights.

On that note we, we are glad to join Barr. Chiwendu Vivian Igwe in celebrating one of the fast rising nollywood actress, Amarachi Igidimbah, who just recently turned 25. It was one those memorable moments for the sultry nollywood diva, as she exhibits some of her most beautiful snap shots to mark a day very special to her existence...

The talented screen goddess, has featured in several hit movies, within a very short while in the industry. Some of them include,  BABY OKU, SPIDER GIRL, EZE NNUNU, ONUOMA'S TEARS,SERVING A LIVING GOD, EMILY MILLIONAIRE, SPONKY BROWN, PAINFUL MONEY, THE SKELETON, to mention but a few commercial hit movies under her belt. She is also carving a niche for herself on TV, as she has featured in some A list TV Series, including her darling performance in DOMESTIC MAIDS, as well as appearances in JENNIFERS DAIRY season 6 and IJE EGO season 2, with the later's season 1 already airing on African Magic.
